BANDRA SLUM UNDER MASSIVE FIRE

Its been approx 3 hours around 8:30 pm majorfire has broken out in a slum Garib Nagar near the Bandra railway station in Mumbai.Fire Started from Garib Nagar area located in Bandra East. Twenty six fire brigades and 10 water tankers are been used to estnguish the fire but no success could be gained . Beacuse of this massive fire all the trains from this route is been affected and as a precaution Bandra harbour line has been shut down.Trains on the Western lines are still running.

Due to fire 5 LPG cylinders also got bust. Fire is very near to Bandra Station . About 10 people are injuried and been Hospitalised.

Rubina, one of the stars in Danny Boyle’s 2008 Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire, stays in the Garib Nagar area. Her family is reportedly safe and has evacuated the hutment.
